We have two more SMS concerts coming up before the end of term: On Tuesday (11th June, 8pm) there will be an evening concert of contemporary classical music featuring music by Ligeti, Somerville graduate student Andrew Watts and others. Performers include James Donaldson (cello), Emyr Wyn (piano), Kevin Sliwoski (trumpet) and Luke Shoham (piano). The title of the concert will be My Twentieth Century.
On Friday (14th June, 1:15pm) Glenn Wong (countertenor) and Orly Watson (piano/harpsichord) are performing this year's final SMS lunchtime recital. Glenn will be singing a selection of 17th and 18th-century arias as well as a selection of Romantic songs.
The SMS lunchtime recital series will resume in 2013/2014. The next recital (Friday 18th October) will feature Italian pianist Giulio Potenza. Details of next term's concerts will be announced in due course.
